Who we are

Daughters Together Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Joanna Su, a pediatrician with more than 20 years of experience serving justice- and social service system–affected youth through her work as the Chief Pediatrician at the Orange County Juvenile Hall with services also at Orangewood Children and Family Center. After retiring from the Orange County Health Care Agency, Dr. Su shifted her focus from traditional disease care to trauma-informed healing rooted in somatic practices. Deeply moved by the many traumas faced by the youth she served, Dr. Su created Daughters Together to provide supportive, community-based healing experiences through somatic arts such as breathwork, mindfulness, movement, sound, emotional awareness, and more. We believe healing happens through guidance, connection, compassion, and self-discovery. Our mission is to empower youth and transitional young adults to move beyond the stories of trauma, recognize their inherent worth, and build healthier, more resilient futures.

Using the power of imagination, breathwork, movement, frequency, vibration, meditation, awareness, and the language of emotion, Daughter Together Corporation empowers justice- and social service system–affected youth and individuals in transition to move beyond trauma through somatic practices that nurture emotional expression, body awareness, and holistic well-being.
